Chef April Bloomfield told me that local was more important to her than organic. I couldn’t get more local if I had my own backyard garden. Four days a week, upstate vendors take over the park with fresh produce, meat, wine, and more. I shop for whatever fresh produce is in season, and sometimes treat myself to blue-shelled heritage chicken eggs. Depending on what day it is, there is a lot to see and taste, so visit one of the bakeries and pick up something sweet for a snack while you shop.

Great place for shops and foods. Amazing spot for people watching. They have farmer’s market on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Wonderful local market open Mon, Wed, Fri, and Sat. Great for buying local vegetables, meat, fish, baked goods and flowers.
There is no better way to food shop. Farmers are friendly, sights are colorful, food is fresh, some organic stands, and tastings! The farmer’s market slows us down and makes the “chore” of food shopping an adventure of smells, sights, and tastes.
Right off the L, this park hosts a near daily farmers market. It's also regular spot for local craft/art vendors.
