People take some degree of perverse pleasure in tearing this place down because it's "touristy". There may be some truth to the allegations spotty service and poor inventory control, but the food is surprisingly good and very reasonably priced, the menu is flexible to suit the tastes of everyone, and the decor is lovely. Moreover, this is the restaurant that got it all going...the renaissance of Hampden began here. It's important. Go there. Special secret: often Fridays are Local Oyster night. $1/oyster. COVID Update: Currently, only the Hon Bar is open. Menu is more limited but the burgers & margaritas are great.

We've never eaten there but the gigantic flamingo is worth a look! Great for kids we've heard!

The original Hampden restaurant. Good food to please every member of the family. Has a Baltimore giftshop inside and the pink flamingo on the front. Bar has oysters and live music depending on the day
