I went to that event hoping to find a true, and usefull initiation to mediation.
I do Zazen for years now, by my own. Did some other events like this one, but not much. So here in Thailand, that was the perfect country to get deeper on it ; thus I booked this event.

Amori is a true teacher - knowing her topic, and knowing how to pass it to her students. She is also a nice person - listening, sharing, laughing. Very good vibes in her, that she knows how to pass to others.

The place : impressive. Heaven for the mind :) Really.
If I can, I will come back here next year, for a couple of weeks of retraite ! Not for half a day meditation workshop ; but stay there, practice for days, in that positive energy environment. You really have to see the place.

This one-day session was a meaningful experience. We practiced meditation, yoga, and visited a local temple. It wasn’t just about physical exercise—it offered a glimpse into the philosophy behind local spiritual life.

I joked that my main takeaways were: Life is changing, life is suffering, life is hard. As Amori explained, meditation helps us face whatever arises in life, whether good or bad. The temple visit was interesting, particularly the detailed paintings. It was also heartening to see how the local people donate to keep the temple running and support the community.

Amori has a warm, genuine laugh. Her skill in yoga is impressive—it made me think of Genkai from Yu Yu Hakusho.

I would recommend this to friends, especially those who are vegetarian or interested in Buddhism.

I spent such a peaceful and beautiful day outside the city center. The retreat was done at Amori’s place and just going there for me was a special experience. I enjoyed meditating with Amori and her guide at the temple was something you won’t hear easily elsewhere. She explained it in easy and clear way!

This was a very enriching and insightful cultural experience. We felt rejuvenated afterwards and gained so much knowledge on meditation, Buddhism, and life. Highly recommend- Amornrat really made it an unforgettable day and her hospitality will stay in our hearts.
