I loved this little bungalow- no frills but full of character and style in a quiet neighbourhood.
This bungalow has no “luxury features” but has everything I needed for a very comfortable stay- air conditioning, wifi, hot water, very comfortable bed, etc.
(Anyone wanting more would probably not consider this accomodation anyway).
The neighbourhood is tucked back off the main road and has retained that lovely “village” feel of a bygone era.
I loved waking to the prayers and chanting from the temple down the road.
There is construction just starting on the block next door that might bother some, but with so much development and construction around Bali, this is almost to be expected and certainly didn’t bother me- in fact, I quite enjoyed waving to the workers and watching the progress and building techniques used.
A tall person might have difficulty in the first few days walking in and out of the bungalow without hitting their head (the doorways are low) but you soon get used to ducking your head (after whacking it a few times...lol)
If character, privacy and a sense of isolation is your preference I would always recommend Aurelie and Sidney’s bungalow.
Aurelie and Sidney were fantastic hosts- I wasn’t needing any advice etc (on where to go) but Aurelie was always ready to offer any assistance.
Unfortunately I had to cut my stay a little short, due to COVID-19 issues and available flights etc, but Aurelie was very understanding and helpful.
I was very sad to leave this beautiful little bungalow and look forward to returning as soon as possible.
A big “Thank you” to Aurelie and Sidney (and your lovely children) for a very pleasant stay....
😊
