The Appleton Retreat is less than a 30 minute drive to Belfast, Rockport, Camden and Rockland, charming downeast seaside towns.

The new (2021) loft apartment is clean, comfortable, with lots of amenities, including guest wifi and laundry. The neighborhood is quiet, wooded, historic. As a guest you’ll be in the midst of our organic gardens, orchards, and meadows, and can request a site tour. Nearby: Camden State Park, Laite Beach, and famous Aldermere Farm. The Seamist Cottage - Converted Historic Barn

The Seamist is located on "the quietside" of the island. Six minutes from Southwest Harbor and thirty minutes to Bar Harbor, the Seamist also offers guests private hot tub access!
