Our lodge is close to family-friendly activities, restaurants & dining in the county town of Somerset. Our lodge is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers & families. The lodge is located within a 5 minute walk of the train station, 10 minute walk to county cricket ground & a short drive to J25 M5 motorway. There are a number of stunning hills, forests, & coastlines to explore not forgetting the opportunity to reward yourself with a local cream tea! All within an easy drive.

Culmstock Shepherd's Hut

A quiet place, with basic washing facilities & camping toilet. Bathroom, with shower usually available between 8am - 8pm. We offer various amenities, including a barbecue & hammock. There is a small wood burning stove, a double bed and sofa/seating area, & a fridge in the hut. Tea/coffee available. Wifi is okay, but we cannot guarantee it will be available 24/7. Also, although we love children & dogs, it really is not suitable for them as it would be too cramped, perfect for 2 adults!

The Stableblock at Gothelney Farm

In the Somerset countryside, the Stableblock is part of Gothelney Farm - a family run farm, focusing on producing food for people that is mindful of both their health & the health of our ecosystem & climate. The fields around the Stableblock are home to our pasture-fed rare breed pigs & also grow cereals used by local bakers, including at the Field Bakery - situated just next to the Stableblock! Set in a beautiful location on the edge of the Quantock Hills in rural Somerset and only 3 miles from Taunton & the M5, it's easy to get to but very quiet. It has a kingsize bed, two singles plus pull out toddler bed, and open-plan living space. It is accessible to those with difficulty walking and to wheelchair users. A cot and high chair are also available.
