The Barn

I call my place "The Barn" because as I was finishing it it took the shape and feel of a barn. It's not a barn. It's a quiet post and beam open concept building (a Jamaica Cottages kit) set among the fields of Appleton, Maine. You'll sleep in the loft or on a futon on the main floor. The bathroom is huge, 10X10, with a heated floor. It's an open concept kitchen and living space. From Appleton you are 20 miles away from the tourist destinations of Camden, Rockland, and Belfast.

Our geodesic domes sit in on 10 acres of our property . In total come spring farm is 28 acres , you will have access to round pond to kayak , fish or swim. You may also visit the Alpacas , bunnies , pigs , sheep and our new lounge area opening June . The bathroom facilities are private for each dome, no sharing .You will need to walk to bathhouse . Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. We have enjoyed the journey of transforming this maple shack into a tiny cabin. Year round house with heat, full bath with shower, toilet, sink, hot water and kitchenette with refrigerator, electric cook top, outdoor grill. We have some minor finishing touches to complete (interior trim and landscaping) and have priced the tiny house to enjoy “pre final” completion.
