Stroll or bike through the small town and enjoy cafes, restaurants, galleries and the Movie Theatre. This quiet cottage is nestled amongst mature native trees in iconic Totara Avenue, 10 mins from Collingwood, and overlooking a tidal estuary and bush-clad hills, with the beach just over the road. The spacious open plan kitchen, dining, living area is private and sunny. The main bedroom has a queen bed, while the second bedroom has a queen and two singles in a bunk. Kōtuku has a wooden deck along two sides, where you can sit and enjoy the view, or you can watch the tides from a private jetty.

A striking building nestled in a tranquil and private setting, makes for a relaxing stay that would suit couples and solo adventurers alike. Literally on Kahurangi National Park's doorstep! The host's partner has developed an extensive network of tracks , some easy walks and some more challenging, with great views of the bay.

Romantic Getaway - The Caboose

Romantic Getaway. The Caboose is a handcrafted replica of a train carriage, with a small private garden. Set on a half acre property next to our historic farmhouse, centrally located at the outskirts of Motupipi, at the eastern side of Golden Bay, only 5 minutes drive from the beach and 5 minutes from Takaka township. The outdoor shower, bath and toilet are all in the private garden that can be accessed with stairs from the side of the balcony of The Caboose. Full cell phone coverage.

This gorgeous two bedroom cottage oozes with character and has it's own sun deck and private garden.  It's in a private location 5 minutes drive from Takaka and only a one-minute drive to Pohara beach and the beachside 9 hole Takaka golf course.  It's an ideal base for families or a romantic getaway for two.
