OUR GOAL IS FOR YOU TO HAVE AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE SURFING - whether its your first time or you're trying to advance your skills. We'll get suited up in the wetsuits I provide, grab the surfboards (we don't use 'one size fits all' Wavestorm boards - we offer custom boards in a variety of sizes to fit your needs) and head down to the sand. For the first 20-30 minutes we’ll be training on the beach, then it’s 60-80 minutes with an instructor in the ocean. The remaining time is yours to practice your skills and have fun in the water. The classes are taught by myself or one of our great instructors. We usually have the 2nd instructor helping in the water when the group exceeds 6-7 people. We will take photos of you in and out of the water in the last 10-15 minutes of the experience. These are not professional pics but a great memory for you, your friends and family. Prior to boarding, pose like a seasoned pro for a photo shoot with the airplane. Once you’re on board, the pilot will give you an overview of the instruments and controls. After getting clearance from the tower, you’ll taxi to the runway for takeoff. Once at cruising altitude, you’ll learn basic flying skills in the training area over the Simi Valley. Then, grab hold of the controls and feel free to move about the skies, exploring LA by air. Finally, in preparation for landing, you’ll come back down to earth at Van Nuys Airport. Other things to note IMPORTANT : This experience is currently only offered as a private experience. The guest has to book both spots on the experience and will be allowed to bring an additional guest to sit in the back seat. Only one guest will be in the front seat. A morning hike to stunning city views, in a dog friendly park with our rescue dogs! We will enjoy a nice walk up hiking trails to the top of Runyon Canyon. Fantastic city views, and the perfect view of the Hollywood Sign! As you climb your way up the hill with your new pals in tow, you’ll be exercising and socializing the dogs, and letting locals know they’re up for adoption. You’ll also become a puppy paparazzi and take their photos in front of panoramic backdrops—you can even pose with them with the famous Hollywood sign behind you. Your pictures will then be used to generate interest in the rescue organization, attract potential adopters, and bring in donations that will help further care for and foster the dogs until they find their forever homes. This experience is great for groups and great for teams! We love to host private and corporate groups, and socializing with the dogs is great for team-building! Other things to note: We will be in direct sun, so bring sunscreen and other protective wear. There are no bathrooms in Runyon Canyon. Your friendly dog is welcome to join us! We do believe in llamas as healers and messengers of Mother Nature (Pachamama). We want you to experience their medicine and help us on their training too. Safety is always top priority for guests and the llamas, so our program will be different on a winter day after a rainy week than it will be on a hot August afternoon. We will put you into situations where you will be able to understand who these llamas are, personally discovering the different personalities that make up our herd. Guests will be transported from a centrally-located site in San Diego county to the international border in San Ysidro. With a Permit application already completed by host from information provided by guests, crossing the border will be cut from a potential 1 hour to about 10 minutes. Along with a brief historical account and cultural explanation, the experience will include a visit to the Friendship Park, a stroll through historic Revolucion street, as well as a the visit to several iconic areas of the city which will lead to a better understanding of its development. Visitors will also explore a colorful local market, where they will interact with local vendors, learn about, and have the opportunity to sample indigenous foods. The tour will conclude with a visit to a local food court where guests will have the opportunity to savor Tijuana's fusion cuisine, also known as Baja-Med. Finally, they will be driven to the international border, picked up and taken back to the original meeting location in San Diego. The host will escort guests the entire time. You will help us free fly our falcons on the cliffs of La Jolla at the Torrey Pines Gliderport, a National Historical Place and beloved landmark. In our Experience, offered through Total Raptor Experience San Diego, you'll learn how to call and release one of our trained birds using a falconry glove, and admire their aerial skills while they soar above the cliffs. You'll get an up-close and personal view of their mastery of flight as they perform simulated hunting behaviors, swooping, ground-skimming and diving at high speed after a moving target. At the same time we will discuss raptor flight styles and how they contribute to the diverse ecologies of different types of hawks and falcons. There will be plenty of time for questions and pictures with our birds. My hope is to send you home with a new, or perhaps renewed, love for these majestic predators and the environment. Take in stunning views of the High Desert of the Mojave, accompanied by goats. We’ll meet our 15 friendly Nubian goats in their pens. They’ll wait for us to open their gate, and then these loving animals will show us the way. We’ll follow the herd at an easy pace into desert washes and onto boulders, where we’ll find beautiful spots to sit and chat—or simply gaze into the silence of the landscape, the gaping sky, and the goats enjoying themselves. We’ll walk about three miles and return with the goats after the sunset. We will take a hawk for a walk thru a local vineyard. Our trained hawk will fly from your gloved hand to fly free over the vineyard and come back to you again. We will spend at least an hour interacting with the birds. You will meet a falcon, “Jack” the eagle owl (who you will fall in love with) and a Harris hawk that we will free fly in the vineyard. Afterwards we will go wine tasting the wine from the vineyard you were in. The winemaker “Larry” is a fun person to talk to as he will explain how he makes his wine and help you to enjoy his naturally grown grapes that make his wine unique. Other things to note This is an outdoor experience so dress appropriately. Rain or extreme winds will cause cancellations.

We'll sail aboard USA 76, the San Francisco challenger for the 2003 America's Cup. With a mast that reaches 11 stories high, everything is big and powerful. Participation is encouraged, and you'll get to fill active crew roles and have the opportunity to spin the coffee grinders to trim sails, take your turn at the helm, or simply sit back and enjoy the ride on this high-performance America’s Cup yacht. Each trip will operate with between 8-20 guests aboard. If we don't reach the minimum, I will contact you approximately 36 hours prior to departure to offer alternatives or issue a refund. Take a tandem Hang Glider flight with an accredited instructor over Southern California. I'll handle the takeoff and landing, and you'll get to enjoy the amazing experience of soaring in a hang glider on a 15- to 45-minute flight. I’ll point out landmarks from above and explain how to maneuver the glider. If you’re up for it—and conditions allow—you may even get to take the controls for a bit. Other things to note This is a weather-dependent sport. Flight and flight times will vary based on weather.

The night begins at the trail head, next to the hoover dam. We ready ourselves with our headlamps, load our packs, and begin our decent into the canyon. The hike is 6 miles long, with a variety of challenging, yet enjoyable obstacles that all ages can attempt. Guests will have to ascend/descend ropes, scale rocks, and marvel at the honed canyon walls. But the best part, are the hot springs. About 3/4 of the way down there our some beautiful springs the guests can hop in as a reward for the long hike in. If guests do not desire to get in these pools we will push onward towards the end of our hike, the Colorado river. It is as majestic as it is crucial to the existence of our fair city. From power, and our main water source this river has literally shaped the surrounding lands making even a barren desert, rich with life. After a much needed rest we will begin the ascent back up the canyon. This hike usually takes 3.5 - 5 hours based off the pace of the hikers. All guests should have proper footwear, with decent grip, also waterproof is recommended. Other things to note This hike is very manageable by most hikers, but there are some physical obstacles that will demand some exertion.

La Jolla Bay is a Marine Protected Area that is home to a thriving ecosystem that boasts a high concentration of sea life, has a natural boat launch, which allows safe ocean entry year-round, and is famous for its Sea Caves and Marine Reserve. No experience is required. Great for all skill levels. Your guide will kick things off with a paddle tutorial on the beach. If surf exists, we will help push your kayak through any breakers. As we paddle through La Jolla’s Marine Reserve keep an eye out for Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Turtles, Pelicans, Dolphin and Gray whales in the fall/winter. Note: We cannot guarantee sea life. If conditions are safe, we will help guide your kayak into Emerald Cave. If it's not safe to enter Emerald Cave, we will still paddle out & explore La Jolla's World-Famous Marine Reserve. I will guide you through 60 minutes practice of Fundamental Vinyasa Flow where you will explore the fundamental principles and postures of Vinyasa yoga. The Beach, Birds & Big Guns Tour takes you to one of the most beautiful, historic and ecologically important parts of the California coast. We will begin at scenic Rodeo Beach just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Dip your toes in the cold Pacific water, watch surfers catch waves, snap photos of seals sunning themselves on the rocks. From the beach, we'll hike up the Coastal Trail to Battery Townsley, one of the large gun emplacements built to protect San Francisco Bay during World War II where we can talk about the history of California's coastal military history. There's also a great view back towards San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. Along the way, we will hike over to stunning Tennessee Labyrinth and walk the laybryinth while we look down on the waves dashing on the rocks and the shore birds soaring on the updrafts. A little further is the ghostly Nike Missile Radar station at Hill 88 built in the 1960s to thwart a Russian nuclear attack. At the top is a 360 view of the Bay, the ocean and the Gate not to mention a chance to experience the site's military significance. And speaking of birds. We will see a variety from gulls to pelicans and red-tailed hawks, and we'll end up the tour at Rodeo Lagoon, home to many species of winged friends.

I have clip-on and non-pierced styles as well as classic stainless steel ear hooks. If you are feeling like you want to do something easier, I also have easy-to-use large beads and stretchy elastic cord. I also have a few other materials for advanced levels, like hemp cord and nylon thread, so please ask if you are looking for a challenge! I'm in a typical mountain neighborhood, and the deck is down 3 flights of stairs and a short rough trail, so please wear sturdy shoes. In case of weather, you can work in my indoor studio. Join this local hiking guide on one of my favorite hidden hikes in the Big Bear area. I have been trekking through the San Bernardino National Forest for 30 years, learning about the flora and fauna of this wilderness, and I even have some tales of local history to share with my guests. We will meet at one of my favorite scenic trails for a two-hour hike in the beautiful Big Bear Valley. At some point on this tour, we will stop at a scenic place for hot chocolate or lemonade.
