Private Room-The House Next Door

This private room is on the second floor and shares a bathroom with another private room. The home has kitchen, living, dining, study, powder room and family room on the main floor for all guest to use during their stay. There is a laundry area in the basement for guest with us for a week or longer. The home has been remodeled, saving the old stain glass windows and the beautiful woodwork. The House is 2 blocks from grocery store, 3-6 blocks from restaurants, bakery and pizza. Faribault is home to historic buildings, Faribo Woolen Mills, SSM School,Paradise Center for the Arts and Alexander Park/Water Park. There is a bike trail 2 blocks from the house which runs along side the river (kayaking). Faribault is on 35W and 40 miles south of Minneapolis.

Nordic Cottage in Chaska, MN

The Nordic Cottage is a 16'x9' cabin in our back yard & overlooks a stone patio area & pool. We have a 3/4 acre wooded site w/ an upper level fire pit. Sliding door leads the patio area and stairs up to the pool. Our neighborhood is across the road from a trail access to about 85 miles of city and regional trails leading all over Chaska and the rest of Eastern Carver County. NOTE: The bathroom is located in our of home which is next to cottage. Parking on driveway or out front, on the street.

Enjoy the rolling hills as you drive to your retreat at Anchor Farmhouse. Unplug as you hear the birds and the wind rustle through the leaves. A rustic red barn and animal life will greet your days. Relax as you watch the stunning sunsets or sunrises from your wrap-around porch. Settle into your cozy bed, wake up refreshed, and possibly join us for chicken chores. This is a place for the generations to connect and for friends and family to make memories. Note! We currently have Bernese puppies!

Our beautiful suite of private rooms will accommodate up to 4 people. You can expect a very private, peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. A place that you can call 'Home' while being away from yours. During this time, with the Coronavirus and the need for social distancing, Lisa & I would like to assure you that the Suite is completely yours and there is no shared space within the home. We take extra care in making sure you are in a safe, clean environment. Have safe travel's and stay healthy.

Enjoy meeting my horses and mini donkeys, take a walk through my woods, or have a fire! Aside from being just far enough, but just close enough to all the happenings in the city, my newly remodeled private entry, ground level basement apartment offers an escape from the noise and a place to unwind and relax. Our location is convenient, cozy and unique being an old ginseng farm, the duplex has a rural feel and is tucked away from the street. Enjoy a patio space to grill at while soaking in the outdoors. We have a fully equipped kitchen, but the Ole Store, a Northfield favorite, is just down the block. Dogs are allowed when added on the reservation and pet fee has been paid for.
