Get away among the sights, sounds, and smells of nature at the Fat Porcupine Cabin in Black River Falls. Robinson Creek runs along the back of the property below a stunning rock face. The sandy shore is the perfect place to relax. The home sits on a 2.5 acre wooded lot filled with aromatic evergreens. You'll love this place because of the spectacular views, horses, wildlife, fishing, hiking and hot tub for relaxing, a romantic getaway or simply just girl time. This spot is perfect for couples or solo adventurers! A unique suite is attached to an elegant vintage peg barn. Space for bringing horses, snowmobiles or ATV's since we have trails. A mile away from snowmobile trails and 25 mins from a State Park. Also, perfect for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Fire pit available as well.

Timber Creek Retreat

Get away for a restful stay at this scenic hidden gem of Vernon County. Timber Coulee Creek, a Class 1 trout stream, ripples right through the backyard. You will enjoy watching deer and turkey as they amble through the property. Bald eagles soar overhead and fish jump in the stream. Listen to the gurgle of the water flowing over the rocks and the music of the birds. Try your hand at fly fishing. Sit around the fire pit, roast marshmallows, watch the flames dance and the stars come out.

Straw Clay Cabin on a Sustainable Farm

This Earthen house is made of sand, straw and clay. Nestled in a valley it is a peaceful and unique getaway. The cabin has four comfortable single beds and electricity, a wood stove for winter. Outside a fire pit and grill. A hand washing sink inside; and port-o-let toilet outside. You may be able to drive in (weather/road condition depending). It is a short walk to our Bakery (Sat. 9 am until 2 pm) Please arrive before dark. We are LGBTQ owned and operated. BIPOC welcome.

Necedah Wildlife Refuge, Buckhorn, Castle Rock, Wisconsin Dells, Amish scenic drive, and Wildcat State Park with canoeing down the Kickapoo River are all within 30 minutes.
