Our modern home is 15 minutes drive from Taupo but still feels like a secret hideaway. It is quiet and private with majestic views of Lake Taupo and Mount Ruapehu - the sunsets are stunning. This container home is set in a private spot surrounded by native bush with a view of the mountain through the trees. The interior of the cabin consists of a separate bedroom with a queen size bed, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and wood burner. The container has a cosy ambience with lots of light on a sunlit day. Large ranchsliders connect you to the natural world outside for hiking, kayaking, canoeing, skiing or mountain exploring. Walk across the road to dine or relax and cook at home.

Our place is close to the great Tongariro National Park. It includes Mt Ruapehu for skiing or snow boarding and tramping. Walk the world famous Tongariro Crossing and discover the cycle ways, kayak the Whanganui River and explore the 'Bridge to No Where'. Try trout fishing, a game of golf or visit the Waiouru Army Museum. Enjoy our cosy home with a wood fire whilst taking in the amazing mountain and rural views. Our place is good for couples and families (with kids) or small groups.

Please note this is an unserviced holiday home. You will Need to supply your own linen and towels etc. Our wonderful bach full of character, is an old mill house which belonged to the local timber mill from the 1940-50s. It then spent several years as the Tauranga ski club, before being lovingly restored into a groovy bach full of rustic charm. It's the perfect place to getaway and relax, or to use as a base after your high octane adventures around the Central Plateau.
