A delightful garden studio queen bed plus a small lounge, set on the sunny side of Waikawa at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. Waikawa is a microclimate very sheltered and peaceful, private outdoor living on the guest patio, BBQ, Sheep in the adjacent paddock, 5 minutes to the safe swimming beach, 4 minutes to the local marina, Jolly Roger Café bar. 8 minutes drive to Picton's shops, restaurants and ferry terminal. There are many bush walks. Karaka Point Maori Pa Site is four km .

The Cowshed

Herd of Cows?! Quiet, comfortable and fun accommodation just 15 minutes walk through the picturesque Picton Marina to cafes, bars, shops, theatres, cruises and walking tracks. Free pickup and setdown from ferry may be available. Transfer from Blenheim by arrangement. Be warned......this great priced accommodation is probably nothing like you have ever stayed in previously. My folly and a labour of love! If you don't have a sense of humour or don't like cows.....don't book in! :-)

A glorious swimming pool and spa await you upon return. The chef's kitchen & BBQ ensure you can prepare sumptuous meals with delicious local ingredients.

Lap up stunning tidal water views over to the sweet fishing village of Havelock and beyond to the breathtaking Pelorus Sounds. Our guesthouse decorated with a stylish Pacific vibe. The property is waterfront so the views are amazing - weather it’s sunny or cloudy and has sunsets to die for. The water is tidal so at high tide the water laps at our lawn.
