The Cedar Nook

We are located in Sooke, British Columbia. Gateway to storm watching, surfing, beach exploring, hiking, biking, camping, relaxing with the sound of waves. Our place is close to the town of Sooke yet surrounded by farms, a short drive to beaches, located on a peaceful, forested 2 acres. We will be on hand if our guests need directions to one of Sooke's brewpubs, hiking trails, how to find a secret beach or which local lake is prime for swimming. Check-in time 4-7 pm, check-out before 11 am.

The Crofts -Katmoget

On a quaint country road with views of the Olympic mountains to the south and the Salish sea to the north you will find a 5 acre sheep farm that we call (with a nod to the Scottish tradition) the Crofts. Our Katmoget Croft is light and airy with high ceilings, quirky decor and windows on all sides that frame the pastoral surroundings. It features a well-appointed kitchen with bar seating, comfortable queen bed, flat screen tv, starlink internet, and large patio/outdoor living area.

The Trincomali Hideaway Oceanfront Yurt

This luxurious oceanfront yurt is hidden in an ancient cedar grove providing privacy and an amazing backdrop to its unprecedented ocean front setting. Set atop an ocean front rock face with a fully covered patio. A fully equipped kitchen and spa like bathroom highlight the luxurious amenities included in this stay. An upscale romantic getaway like no other. Breakfast provided, our guests receive coffee, teas, a bottle of our house cider and our fresh pastries during their stay.

Stunning private oceanfront getaway experience

Welcome to your private oceanfront getaway Nestled in a (distanced) private area of our property awaits this 40 foot rustic/industrial style converted bus. Take in the ocean view of the Sooke Basin and the mountains of Washington state across the strait of Juan De Fuca. Enjoy a visit from our dog, Argo, who lives on the property and loves our guests. Beautiful landscaping with a trout pond, large yard, in season berries on the bushes, produce in the garden, fresh eggs in the chicken coop and catch and release trout fishing.
