The Acadia NP Visitor Center, the start of the Park Loop Rd and downtown Bar Harbor are within 2 to 5 miles. Drive into Acadia or to the shops, restaurants & excursions of Bar Harbor or from late June to mid Oct, catch the free Island Explorer shuttle from the end of our road.

This is 8 years being ARBNB hosts in our home. Guests, one party up to 6, share the second floor that is private, simple and elegant with 3 bedrooms & 1 bathroom. Also private parking & own porch entry that is furnished with bamboo shades, table,couch, chairs, ceiling fan, and fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave. Fire pit & access to gardens. You’ll love our home because it is very comfortable with beautiful gardens and many quiet sitting areas for early morning coffee or your late afternoon wine. Our place is very accommodating for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and for bird watchers.

We are the Black Friar Inn and Pub. This is room 2 on our 2nd floor. It has a private bath and the ceiling of the bathroom was once a trolley car’s ceiling. The stained glass windows give the room a rosy Medieval glow. With two comfortable chairs and a fireplace, this room has it all. We are a B&B so breakfast is included with your stay. Please see our website for the menu. Our in town location gives our guests a three minute walk to the harbor and downtown Bar Harbor.

It is located close to an exit to our beach, and our building can't get much closer to our private beach! No A/C, not pet friendly. Fans provided. **Wine & Cheese nighs cancelled due to COVID regulations**

Taunton River Bed and Breakfast, Franklin Room

Come stay in gracious comfort in the Franklin Room at a our charming 1845 traditional bed and breakfast, strategically located between Acadia National Park and Mt Desert.
