Secluded Ptarmigan Yurt

Now in its 7th season the Yurt is very popular. Last year (2023) we have upgraded the flooring from carpet to wood with lovely rugs. This year (2024)We have also changed the curtains throws, cushions and bedding and added a few extras for our guests comfort. The Yurt has a kingsize bed, a kitchenette and a sofa. The fire is ready for our guests to light on arrival as this is the only form of heating and you can request more logs each day free, The Yurt has an ensuite bathroom with shower etc

Inspired by traditional Celtic roundhouses these cosy wooden huts are situated in the beautiful remote crofting township of Locheynort in the Isle of South Uist. Whitetail Yurt is situated on the Island of Ulva - which is accessed via a small foot passenger ferry fom Mull - on a secluded plot next to Ardalum House, in an exceptionally peaceful location alongside Ulva Sound, with views of Ben Mor, the highest mountain on Mull. Ulva is rich with lush woodlands, and there are extensive moorlands to the west, with otters, red deer, seals and eagles. The geology and archeology are renowned, with walks to basalt cliffs and the Livingstone caves.

20' woodland yurt in Highland glen

Set in our small mixed woodland at West Cottage and Stables in in picturesque Glenlyon, our 20ft yurt offers complete privacy, a choice of two fire pits (one under cover) and amazing views, a wood burning range cooker, and a double bed – to mention just the essentials. The yurt is lined with wool, and there's a pull out twin bed and a kettle and toaster. There's cold water in the yurt and a full bathroom a short walk up to our house. There's also your own loo right by the yurt.
