If you are up to a trip a few kilometres outside Athens, you shouldn't miss Sounio the Temple of Poseidon overlooking the sea at sundown when the colours are mellow and golden! Visit Syntagma (Constitution) Square and watch the Evzones - the soldiers in their traditional costumes guard the cenotaph of those who anonymously fell for the country in the wars. Watch the change of the guards with its very interesting choreography.
