We like grabbing take out from Cavana and eating at the little park right on Sutter Creek, but Gold Rush Pizza also has a great outside area overlooking the creek as well.

Supposedly haunted - Preston Castle was constructed in 1894 as a reform school for boys. The Romanesque Revival style of architecture was to make the building look like a school rather than a prison.

Trail leads to a bunch of forest roads with some cut-off single tracks. Fire roads lead down to the river running below. Up the other side are single track trails and views. Up to an 11-mile hike altogether.
