Hot Springs

About an hour north of Sayulita, down a stone road and through mango groves into a secluded part of the jungle; marvelous hot water.

Pectroglyphs

Fascinating engraved stones carved over two thousand years ago by the Tecoxquines, an Aztec tribe, that went into extinction after the 16th century from disease brought by the Spanish. Can be difficult to find

Hill Town

A hill town about an hour and a half away from Quetzal. Grear place for an overnighter if you need a change from the sea. On the way there you will pass Raicilla or Mexico's original moonshine that is in production and for sale. The town is small but quaint and welcoming and as the locals say, much cooler than the coast, especially in the evenings.
