A 1906 warehouse conversion located in Gastown. This unique 800sq ft open concept space features polished concrete floors, 16ft ceilings with timber beams, and exposed brick. Vintage industrial decor and walk through, open concept shower. This is my full time home so I've invested in high end things and my heart and soul has gone into its design! Steps away from some of the best restaurants + shops in the city and a short walk to the Skytrain + Seabus. A gorgeous loft in a hip and historic part of town.
This is a 700sq/ft two level lofted apartment with 16ft ceilings and polished concrete floors. The living area, kitchen, dining area and bathroom with shower and tub are on the lower level. The queen sized bed, washer and dryer are upstairs. There are two large empty closets with hangers. This loft is on the sixth floor of the building with east facing floor-to-ceiling windows fitted with black-out blinds and a small balcony with nice views of the north shore mountains and the rooftops in Railtown. The loft features mid-century modern decor and a flatscreen tv including an appletv with access to Netflix.
Gastown, Railtown and Chinatown make up part of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside which is a diverse and unique community. Gastown is the heart of Vancouver. It is the city's oldest neighbourhood and full of history and culture. It offers a thriving fashion district, impeccably curated decor boutiques, one of a kind galleries and is bursting with the best food and drink in the city. The downtown eastside is also home to some of the city’s most poor and marginalized. People visiting this area for the first time are sometimes surprised by the sight of homelessness, mental illness and open drug use. If seeing this kind of thing up close makes you uncomfortable, then it is best to avoid walking along the east part of Hastings Street especially between Carrall Street and Main Street. We lived in this neighbourhood for 20 years and raised our young daughter in this building for seven years. We loved our time here and never felt threatened or unsafe. We are more than happy to discuss intelligent ways for you to navigate the neighbourhood during your stay, but we highly recommend you do your own bit of research on the downtown eastside before deciding if this is a suitable location for you. The streets encompassing the building itself are typically very quiet. The majority of Gastown's restaurants and bars are a couple of blocks away so there isn’t a lot of street or foot traffic in the evenings. However, the building is directly next to functioning train tracks. This area of Railtown/Gastown marks the end of the line for all trains coming into the city. This means that they typically move past the building at very slow speeds. They brake and sometimes shunt. If you've never heard train cars shunt before, it can be very loud at times. The trains do not run constantly, but they also have no predictable schedule and can be heard at any hour of the day or night 7 days a week. Most people are not bothered by the trains and some even find them charming. We live in the same building and we hardly notice them. However, if you are a light sleeper, there are earplugs available in the bedside drawer if needed. We have carefully curated a Guidebook featuring some of our favorite neighbourhood restaurants, cafes, sites and shopping recommendations. You can access the Guidebook from our listing, but we will also leave a printed copy for you in the loft.

Our cool and comfortable apt has been a pleasure to renovate. We scoured modern & vintage stores for comfortable and good looking furnishings. Small but practical and lovely. Our patio and front garden is a nice evening dinner spot.
**Our rates change with the seasons, summer being the peak travel time to Vancouver, so check the rate on your travel days before you book so you're not surprised. Thanks!** Great location between downtown and Commercial Drive. Cool in the heat of the summer. The kitchen has a small fridge, a two burner stove top, a large toaster oven, a stove top espresso maker, electric hot water kettle, and the regular staples. The space is an open plan with a double bed. About 400sqft. We've made it as practical and as pretty as we could for our guests.
We are located on the eastern edge of Strathcona. Strathcona is a very walkable neighbourhood, tree lined traffic calmed streets. There is a bike route right around the corner that runs east/west. We are close to Chinatown, Commercial Drive, Gastown. Strathcona and surrounding arounds has tons of parks scattered around. There is small coffee shops and ice cream shops near by, not to mention the beer! (I will) As previously mentioned, we are in the heart of the brewery district. There are 8 and counting (!) independent breweries within walking distance from the house.

At the top of a 3 story Kits vibrant family home is this unique furnished attic loft with private walk up entrance boasting Vaulted ceilings, exposed brick, 4 sky lights, French doors with mountain views, small outdoor space, complete kitchen and bathroom. Decorated with antiques and brand new furnishings for a quant decor.
This bright space (which is normally used as my private office) with vaulted ceilings has so much character and style you can relax and stay in a quiet family neighbourhood just blocks from the beach. Our home is 105 year old, it's not perfect by any means but it is perfectly quant, warm and welcoming. The bed and all linens are brand new for a comfortable sleep (yes, the sky lights have black out blinds and there is no metal bar to sleep on with this great bed set up!). The bed is an Ikea Friheten that does convert to a sectional if you need. It is seriously comfortable, we have 3 of them! Relax and enjoy a good book in one of two refurbished antique chairs or on the cozy brand new sectional. Or even sit outside on the wood balcony and catch some rays. There is a second balcony you will pass on your walk up, please feel free to enjoy this large sunny space as your own. The bathroom has all you need including a washer and dryer, shower and small tub and a sky light as well. All towels are brand new and there is an iron and hair dryer plus shampoo and shower gel for your use. The kitchen has a 20" gas stove top and oven, half fridge, mini dishwasher and is equipped with a French press, toaster, blender plus all you cooking tools. If you need anything to create your cuisine you can always come knock on our door anytime. This space is cozy and bright for all seasons with loads of light and lights.
It really does not get much better then Vancouver's favored neighborhood of Kits. You will have all you need within blocks! Our home is located at the quieter West end of Kits (outside of the keg party as we call it). We are 5 bus stops or a 15 minute walk to the busy retail action. Within 3 blocks you will find the following: Aphrodite Pie Shop and their restaurant (across the street), Banyan Books, The Juicery, Okanagan Wine Shop, Rebecca Bree Clothing, Sushi, beyond Bread, 2 pubs, BC Liquor Store, Green Moustache Organics, IGA, RBC Bank, more Sushi, DD Pizza, moksha Yoga, The Back Healer, No Frills Foods, 2 consignment clothing shops, pizza by the slice, 7-11, browns Social House, La (URL HIDDEN) name a bunch. Don't forget the bike lanes to downtown and the beach are just blocks away!! You can have it all!

Enter through a keyless entry door and you will find a newly renovated basement suite with a living room that comes with a 50 inch 4k T.V. that you will be able to watch Netflix and connect your phone with. The living room sofa also turns into another bed. A complete kitchen (toaster, microwave, and oven), and can't forget the complimentary coffee. Two bedrooms one queen in the first bedroom and one twin bed in the other. The space also comes with one full bathroom. It includes a hairdryer and towels. We live in a beautiful, convenient, and safe residential neighbourhood of Oakridge. We are located between major North-South and East-West arteries making our location very convenient for getting around. The residential area is quiet and peaceful, with lots of trees and greenery. There is a beautiful park across the street from our home where you can go for a walk, run, have a picnic, or watch people play baseball. The famous Oakridge Mall is only a ten minutes walk away where you’ll find a Safeway supermarket , a food court, banks, plus many of the most popular brands. The renowned Queen Elizabeth Park is a 20 minute walk. From the top of the Park, you can see a gorgeous view of Vancouver. If you love gardens, the Van Dousen Botanical Gardens is only a 5 minute drive, or a 15 minute walk away from our home. Enjoy privacy as you have your own separate entrance, 1 bedroom with a spacious king size nook bed that serves as both a bed & a great place to read a book or a magazine by the window or just sit back & watch TV or listen to your favorite radio station or your music from your ipod. It has great size full bathroom. The size is more like a hotel room plus a small sitting area. It can take up to 2 adults or 1 adult & 1 child 12 yrs or older. The location can not be better as its steps to Broadway 's restaurants, cafes, small shops, 10 blocks away from the beach & public transportation is just around the corner - UBC & downtown are 10 minutes away by bus. The Nook can also connect to another bigger 1 bedroom with its own bathroom, which makes it a 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms if a bigger space is needed. Our Neighbourhood Kitsilano is located in Vancouver's West Side along the south shore of English Bay, & is one of the most desired locations by both residents & visitors. It is mostly residential with two main commercial areas, West 4th Avenue and West Broadway, known for their retail stores, restaurants and organic food markets. Our place is very unique because of our palm trees in front of the house and very nice garden. The room has a queen bed and very clean. Washroom is very close to the room. You can go to the kitchen and get some water. Cooking is not allowed but you can use the microwave for heating food.
