This place is a gem! SO CUTE! A remodeled 1930's cottage....that Jimi Hendrix stayed in when he was on Maui in 1970 to film Rainbow Bridge. Beautiful, quiet...REAL Maui! Recently remodeled, very cute! It is lined with cedar on the inside so it smells delightful when you walk in.... The Gingerbread House is a studio cottage with a kitchenette (toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, counter-top burners, full sized fridge) and spacious bathroom with a large custom-built, tiled shower.. It has high cathedral ceilings with a huge window that looks out on beautiful lush greenery. It is on a gated property. There is recently IMPROVED wireless Internet in the cottage, as well as wireless available to you in several other locations on the property. We have gotten the internet FIXED since the reviews were written so it is WORKING WELL IN THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE! As of 2018, we also added a Television with Netflix access and put in a larger hot water heater, so you should have ample hot water. It has a queen sized bed, and an outdoor patio under the spectacular tree canopy. The property is on 4.5 acres of lush beauty with a seasonal stream, an organic veggie start farm, fruit trees galore (help yourself when in season....) papaya, banana, lilikoi (passion fruit), coffee, plantains, oranges, mac nuts, avocado, lychee, mango, guava, grapefruit, tangerines, lemons, coconuts, noni....and you also have access to an additional 4 acres on the adjacent property—which is home of The Sacred Garden—beautiful!. We have a 3 night minimum however we will book for 1-2 nights if the nights are available between other bookings so feel free to check with us. We have a 5 night minimum during Holiday periods like Christmas. We are in an awesome location just 20 minutes from the airport and Costco, and only 2 miles to Makawao town restaurants and shops, 7 minutes to Paia, 5 minutes to Haiku town. 50 Minutes to Haleakala National Park entrance. We also have a house on the property that is a vacation rental as well so if you need more space for a larger gathering let me know! I offer retreat services—relationship coaching, personal and spiritual growth, guided labyrinth walks and work with Maui's best practitioners so if you want more than a vacation, let me know! We can help you with everything from Massage, to intuitive readings! I also perform weddings so if you are thinking of getting married while you are on Maui....I can also help you with that! This rental is on the property adjacent to The Sacred Garden which has two walking labyrinths, water lily ponds, meditation gardens, and more ...and is free and open to the public daily. We have caterers and babysitters available if needed. The elevation is about 1000 feet which is PERFECT on Maui! We are about 10 degrees cooler than sea level which makes for absolutely comfortable days (70-80 degrees) and GREAT temps for sleeping (usually in the 60's). This is the MAXIMUM elevation you can stay and still go scuba diving on Maui. Speaking of diving...we are avid divers and can assist you booking Scuba Diving with the best dive operation on Maui. You will definitely want a rental car....there is a bus stop a mile or two away but not ideal....and bikes are a little hazardous as these are hilly, windy, narrow roads. We have a loving and enthusiastic Golden Retriever and a few cats on the property but no animals are inside the cottage. There are wild chickens and roosters and cows on the property across the stream. Please keep in mind that this is a jungle environment. We have the houses treated for pests quarterly so you should have minimal issues with insects, however, If you are phobic of insects, the jungle will not be your best bet. Gecko lizards are also common inside the houses here. This area is a magical well kept secret on Maui. We are located at the dividing line between the wet side and the dry side, which means we get enough rain to stay green, and enough sun to stay sane! We get rainbows almost daily and are the perfect temperature (60's at night, 70's-80's in the day).

Our property provides a unique opportunity in that it can be rented out in different configurations to easily accommodate anything from a romantic retreat to a larger family gathering.
Our thoughtfully designed cottages were created to provide ultimate relaxation and connection with the surrounding nature. The cottages are private, bright, airy, and freshly remodeled, offering a perfect balance of modern amenities and tropical charm. Inside you'll find the open concept kitchen and living area complete with two sets of 8 foot sliding glass doors, that open to a 40 foot long deck, overlooking an acre of private, expansive lawn down to the distant ocean. Off the deck is a private outside shower. The kitchen comes fully equipped for cooking and includes a ceramic cooktop and convection oven. The kitchen table comfortably sits 4. There is also an outdoor table with seating for 6 on the deck outside. The cottages are well appointed with everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. This charming condominium building on Ili'ili Road in Kihei is perfectly situated on the ocean side of South Kihei Road nestled on a quiet street in an ideal location between two scenic sandy beaches in either direction: Charley Young Beach on the south side, and Cove Beach on the north side. The walk in either direction to each public beach access is half of a block and there is no need to cross busy South Kihei Road when walking to them. We chose Milowai in Maalaea due to it's fantastic convenient and direct oceanfront location. It is only 20 minutes to almost anywhere on the Island and we love to see and do it all. Ever wondered what it's like to live inside a tiny house? Here is your chance. This cottage is waiting for someone that wants a long detailed exploration of Hawaii or needs a retreat from their life. Whether you're already on the island or coming from far away and want to stay in paradise, this place is ideal. We have bee hives on the land.
The Ocean View Cottage is a classic, 24ft x 8.6 ft long, tiny home on wheels with a deck that is also 24ft x8ft Decorated in rustic Hawaiian style with industrial accents, this cottage boasts expansive ocean views from most windows and the deck, as well as a view of the entire sprawling certified organic farm it is situated above. There is a full kitchen, full bath, living room, and deck. We provide 5 fans, one ceiling fan in the main cabin, one in the loft, a tower fan in the main cabin, a small, extra one, stored in the bathroom and there is one on the deck too. Please note we don't have an AC. It is too expensive to run on Maui and as long as we have a fan on us, we are great! This part of our farm is new. We have lived across the street on 3 acres for 12 years and those 3 acres are totally planted with, and now mature, fruit trees. In the coming years we will be planting these 6 acres. We began planting in early 2019. All the grasses have grown in and the flowers are starting to bloom. Your input of financial energy will help us to buy trees, care for the land, and build our farm infrastructure (Thank you, immensely). On this property, we currently grow about 1/4 of an acre of turmeric commercially and we will be constructing an agriculture building this fall (2019). It will be used to process our turmeric. We are just planted another 1/8th of an acre of turmeric this summer. Also on the agenda is to start planting fruit trees everywhere. The ocean and mountain views are extensive from this cottage. When there is wind this cottage gets great breeze and fortunately this cottage doesn't seem to have mosquitos. (cross our fingers it stays this way.) BED The cottage sleeps 2. There is queen-sized bed up in the loft (accessed by a ladder), and the "L" couch in the living room that can be slept on when separation of the bed is needed. There are windows 2 windows in the loft to allow a cross breeze when wind is present. There is a great 41 inch tower fan we hung on the wall so it covers the entire bed in the loft. I checked it out at peak heat on a sunny day and it was totally comfortable to nap up there. KITCHEN In the kitchen, you’ll find everything needed to make a gourmet meal—cast iron and stainless steel, and nonstick pots and pans, a 30-flavor spice rack, high-quality SHARP knives, and a NutriBullet SELECT 950-watt blender that blends kale to a smooth texture. We provide many different kinds of tea and whole bean Maui coffee in each unit. The kitchen has a french press and a coffee bean grinder so can enjoy the freshest cup of coffee possible. A beautiful natural edge bar on the porch will enable you to savor your surroundings while sipping you coffee or savoring your meal. There is also a small fold down table inside should you prefer an indoor experience for eating. THE DECK 24 ft x 8 ft wide. There is an 8 foot long teak "L" couch on the deck that is large enough to be napped on. There is a basket with two yoga mats and two long yoga cushions. There is plenty of space to practice yoga on the deck. The deck railings are great to throw your leg up on and stretch. There is an 8 foot long slab of local cook pine that we made into a bar top for you to enjoy outside eating, with two tractor seat stools. (the cottage has 4 stools if needed). The deck is very cool most of the day, but about 45 min just before sunset, the sun is low enough to blast the deck and it gets hot if it is sunny. I planted some bananas to block this afternoon sun. TELEVISION/CABLE/NEWS TV is not possible here as we are off that grid. We suggest you let your short stay here be about disconnecting and getting in touch with yourself, your friends, and nature. INTERNET There is solid wifi. The the password is swiftfish820. OUR LOCATION We are located in the heart of Hana, home to 5 of the most beautiful BEACHES in the world; boasting black, red, and white sands, with the closest beach less then 1 mile away. You can view them all in the guidebook provided in the cottage. A NOTE ABOUT VALUE to think about when you're reviewing, analyzing our farm, or dreaming of living here. There are a few things people don't understand about living in Hawaii esp. in Hana. There are a lot of hidden costs to maintain a life out here. When it rains it pours. We have to fix our road a few times a year after big rains, which requires tractor work. It's very costly. When we need new rock laid, imagine trucking that rock on the Hana Highway from the other side of the island. Then once that rock is laid, it can sink into the ground and disappears or gets washed away again and again. Since this is one of the wettest places on earth, composting happens very fast. Which means our buildings rot very fast. We have to paint every 5 years instead of every 15 years. A 30-year roof only lasts 15 here. Our cars deteriorate at an astronomical rate. The metal on weed wakers and mowers rot. Small motor engines break often. The salt air is very damaging. On the mainland, a person might by 2 or 3 lawn mowers in their life time. We need to purchase one every 5 years. My neighbor buys a new one every 2 years. Our fridges get rusty from the salt in the air. A new one needs to be bought every 5-8 years. There are termites everywhere, and we need to tent the buildings for spraying every few years. The cost of a building is about $300 a sqft. On the mainland, it's around $100. The cost of cement is $400 per yard. On the mainland, it is $100/yard. It takes us about 30 hours a week just to keep the jungle from taking over our farm. Rain, sun, rain, sun everything grows fast. Bugs get in, cleaning needs to happen every day in everyone's house no matter how fancy it is. Organic certification cost $1000 every year. When we need supplies, it takes us a 12 hour day to go get supplies from the other side just so can to live out here. We have to go about once every 10 days but it typically happens once a week. So that's a huge fuel cost to go to the store because we have to drive to Kahului. And then there is the property cost and insurance, we live in a hurricane path. So when you think of the value, please think of these things. The rental allow us to maintain the property. There are a lot of hidden expenses that renters don't think about. Help keep our ratings high so we can keep it up. It's a lot of work. We LOVE it. And we love sharing it with you. we are so incredibly thankful for you.
Our neighborhood speaks for itself. It's beauty and charm comes from our secluded location and the mountain and ocean views. You'll hear birds and bamboo singing, winds and rain, ocean pounding at times, sometimes kids playing, goats off in the distance, during whale season, Nov-Mar, we hear whales all the time. The famous Hamoa beach is 10 minutes, 7 sacred pools are about 30 minutes, red sands beach is 5 minutes, wianapanapa black sand beach is 2 minutes. There's a lot of local food. Soon there will be a few food trucks across the street from the farm. Kahanu Gardens, which boosts the biggest Hawaiian gathering place, in all the islands, is 2 miles away. The famous and largest lava tube in Hawaii is right next door.

Located just a short 5 minute walk to "Sugar Beach" one of the longest walking beaches in the world. Our home is approved and licensed as B&B. This requires us to collect the Hawaii Occupancy Tax of 14.42% separately on check-in. We are working "business hours" away from the home, so we need to plan ahead to be able to meet you when you arrive, please give us an arrival window of an hour we will do our best to accommodate you.
We live in a very quiet and residential neighborhood in North Kihei which is very close to the famous "Sugar Beach Bakery" (famous lilikoi key lime pie and fine croissants) and to the Kihei Canoe Club. The center of town is a short drive. You will be staying in a private room with a queen size bed and your own private bathroom. Towels and toiletries will be provided. You will have a small fridge in your room to keep some snacks and drinks cool. North Kihei, centrally located on the island, is a about 15-20 minute drive from the airport, 20 minutes to Paia and about 25 minutes to Lahaina. All the best beaches are here on the South side of the island and you will have access to all of them within minutes. We also have our "Guest Suite" listed on Air BNB - so you are welcome to check out this listing. If you inquire please let us know - we will be able to adjust the price for the "Guest Suite Apartment" if the room is already rented.
Very safe and quiet residential neighborhood, easy access to pretty much everything: towns, beaches, and only seven minutes to the Aquarium. We are located in NORTH Kihei, which is the residential part of town, so "NO" we are NOT directly in the Resort area. It is about a 10 minute drive to the touristic part of South Kihei and Wailea - where the resorts are. Just so you won't be disappointed in terms of location. Also Kihei is a long stretched out town and even though you can walk -there are stretches without side walks and often times a short drive is easier.

Located in the 'Heart of Hana', this multi-unit beach house is nestled in the lush Hawaiian jungle with towering bamboo and fruit trees next to a natural flowing creek formed out of lava rock.
Guests have their own self-contained 250 sq ft studio with a private entrance, patio, wet bar and large full bathroom (shower only). We are across the street from two beaches, one is a black sand beach less than a 2 min walk from our home. We are in a neighborhood of houses. We are about a 5 min walk to town center/business district; food trucks, the prestigious 5 diamond Travassa Hotel, and the Hana Ranch Restaurant. Dining and commercial retail are all within walking distance.

You'll enjoy staying at this comfortable clean renovated condo in Kihei Akahi resort. Located right across South Kihei Road from worl-famous Kamaole II Beach, in the heart of the vibrant beach town of Kihei on the sunny South Shore of Maui. This condo features a King bed in the bedroom, a fully eqiupped kitchen and a washer/dryer inside the unit. Kihei Akahi is a popular resort with amenities that include 2 swimming pools, free parking, and high-speed internet.

THE INTERIOR This upscale one-bedroom one-bathroom condominium apartment featuring cool tiled floors throughout and is located on the second floor of a modern mid-rise condominium building. It has 655 square feet and a balcony lanai. Includes full kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, separate bedroom with King size bed, living room with 65" flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi internet, and free parking. For your comfort, there is an air conditioner in the living room, and there are ceiling fans both in the living room and in the bedroom. The space is set up ideally for a maximum of two persons, as there is one King size bed in the bedroom and in the living room there is a pull-out sleeper sofa. The apartment layout allows cross breezes to gently waft through the apartment from the windows in the bedroom and lanai when jalousie windows are open and trade winds are flowing. WHAT'S INCLUDED INSIDE A set of bed linens and pillows and a comforter are provided in addition to a set of bath towels and beach towels. A starter set of liquid soap, shampoo and lotion, coffees, paper towels, toilet paper, etc are also provided. The south side of Kihei town is a bustling yet relaxed beach area centered around the famous string of Kamaole Beaches: Kamaole Beach I, Kamaole Beach II, and Kamaole Beach III. Each of these three sections of beach has its own character but they are all scenic and gorgeous. Our cozy Ilima Guest Room (small Studio), lockout of a larger unit, is the perfect way for the budget traveler to save money on rent and enjoy more time on the beautiful Island of Maui. The unit is not large but it features everything you need for a great vacation. The Ilima offers a private entrance, private bathroom and a private balcony with it's own BBQ. Ilima Room: Our cozy Ilima guest room, lockout of a larger unit, is the perfect retreat for a single person, the budget traveler or for guests spending most of there time sightseeing the beautiful Island of Maui. With a total size, including the balcony, of 300 sqft it is our smallest, most affordable unit for one or two budget conscious travelers. The room itself (11ft x 11ft) features a comfortable queen bed, a tiny seating area with two chairs and a flat screen TV with DVD player. South Kihei Road has miles of beach front including Kalepolepo Beach, which is more secluded and private and just across the street. Other favorite beaches are the Kamaole Beaches (Kam 1, 2 & 3) which are a few miles South on S Kihei Road and have showers, bathrooms and lifeguards. There are shopping centers, grocery stores, a health food store, clubs, bars, the Kihei post office and some of Maui's best restaurants within walking distance or just down the main road to the South. Maui's best Indian restaurant - Monsoon India, is right across the street and another of our favorites - Sansei, with tasty Japanese offerings is just a few miles South, on South Kihei Rd. If you're here the fourth Friday of any month, Kihei hosts 'Fourth Friday' a fun outdoor party event in the parking lot of the Azeka Shopping Center about a mile and a half to the South on S Kihei Rd. In short, whatever you'd like to experience here on South Maui is close by!

This is the sweetest tiny home cottage in paradise you'll ever see. Our cottage is located on an organic, off the grid, farm sanctuary. The whole 2.5-acre fruit farm, including both cottages, are fully run by the power of the sun. Rejuvenate from life.
The cottage sleeps 2. But probably best suited for one person long term. Meet the "The Garden Cottage" The cottage is located among the gardens of our CERTIFIED ORGANIC fruit farm. You’ll walk from the parking lot, through the citrus orchards, to find this beauty tucked into our banana ally. (It's about 100-foot walk). It stands at the edge of our 2000 sqft turmeric field on one side and our seasonal river on the other. Our 850 sqft greenhouse is right out your door. This cottage is decorated in Hawaiian craftsman style with a tinge of industrial flair. It has parking in our main lot. A butler cart is provided to transport luggage to the cottage if needed. This cottage boasts mountain and ocean views, and a full detached outdoor bathroom. It's about 250sqft with the loft. Kitchen This is a full kitchen (minus the oven), not a kitchenette. You'll find everything you need to make a gourmet meal. The first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful blue grey crystal like granite counter top. It has a deep sink. There are two burners. We added both cast iron as well as stainless pots and pans. I promise you, our KNIVES are SHARP and well made. This cottage has a 30-flavor spice rack to save you the costly expense of buying herbs while you're on the island. There is an under-the-counter size fridge with freezer. There are 2 ice cube trays inside the freezer. There are a kettle, coffee grinder, and French press for your tea and coffee needs. We've stocked it with local coffee beans, tea, milk, and sugar. You'll find glasses for water, wine, and hot drinks. We tried to spare no expense in the kitchen and think of everything you might need, even providing a few Tupperware. You'll find the latest model of a Nutri-bullet blender. I researched a lot to find a great blender that does as good of a job as a Vita-mix. I believe I found it. The test is always whether it can blend kale to a smooth even consistency. This little blender can! See photos of everything that is in the kitchen cabinets. Oh, and there is a ceiling fan!!! Bedroom loft You must be in, at least, such physical shape as to climb a ladder. This unit has stairs but they are steep. They take you up to what we feel is heaven. The loft has windows in every direction and if you've arrived at night you're in for a treat when you wake up. There are three different lighting options and a tower fan that blows cool. You’ll get a good night sleep on our comfortable mattress and we have top of the line hotel sheets. We provide 4 pillows in two different styles. One of the styles is special and each edge of the pillow has a slightly different shape. Find the side that works for you. The loft has a low ceiling and it's not possible to stand fully upstairs. It's a space for sleeping, just like in all the tiny homes as seen on TV. But this loft has much bigger headroom than most. So you climb upstairs and slip right in. You can see the ocean and the mountains from bed. On clear nights star gaze right from bed is magical. And then there is sunrise. The birds are the best part of morning. It feels like we live in a bird sanctuary. Living room Has windows in every direction. There is a fan, couch which seats 2 people (too small to be slept on), an end table and a coffee table. Television/Cable/News. There is no way to have television here. We are off the grid. We suggest you set your intentions on disconnecting from the grid for your stay. It will probably be difficult for some, but so worth it. Bathroom This is a modern rustic outdoor stand-alone ¾ bathroom (no bathtub). The roof above the shower and sink is clear, so the sunlight comes in to give you an even more of an outdoor feel. It's so fun when it's raining. It’s magical to take a shower outdoors. You’re going to love this place. Aaaaand then there is the reality, you are coming to a lush tropical environment, which means wet, which mean mosquitos and bugs. Bugs go in phases. We just live with them. Some times of year are worse than others. This cottage has an outdoor bathroom. Most people are totally happy and others are not. It's about 3 in 150 guests that tell us the bugs were a bit much for them. It's so beautiful here, and that is the reality of here, it doesn't phase most people. Fruit trees We have about 150 fruit trees on the farm. Bananas, coconuts, papaya, citrus abiu and more. Note for long-term farm visits. You can feel at home here and relax. We are out of all major emf's as found in the city. Note: we are located in a rainforest the boosts 60-100 inches a year. To put that number into perspective, we don't have to water any of our crops. In fact, our veggie crops need to be in a greenhouse to protect the soil from the compaction of the strong rains. The unit has a huge umbrella for your use while on the property, and emergency crank flashlight, and fire extinguisher. This is a non-smoking property. A NOTE ABOUT VALUE to think about when you're reviewing, analyzing and dreaming of living here. There are a few things people don't understand about living in Hawaii esp. in Hana. There are a lot of hidden costs to maintain a life out here. When it rains it pours. We have to fix our road a few times a year after big rains, which requires tractor work. It's very costly. When we need new rock laid, imagine trucking that rock on the Hana Highway from the other side of the island. Then once that rock is laid, it can sink into the ground and disappears or gets washed away again and again. Since this is one of the wettest places on earth, composting happens very fast. Which means our buildings rot very fast. We have to paint every 5 years instead of every 15 years. A 30-year roof only lasts 15 here. Our cars deteriorate at an astronomical rate. The metal on weed wakers and mowers rot. Small motor engines break often. The salt air is very damaging. On the mainland, a person might buy 2 or 3 lawn mowers in their life time. We need to purchase one every 5 years. My neighbor buys a new one every 2 years. Our fridges get rusty from the salt in the air. A new one needs to be bought every 5-8 years. There are termites everywhere, and we need to tent the buildings for spraying every few years. The cost of a building is about $300 a sqft. On the mainland, it's around $100. The cost of cement is $400 per yard. On the mainland, it is $100/yard. It takes us about 30 hours a week just to keep the jungle from taking over our farm. Rain, sun, rain, sun everything grows fast. Bugs get in, cleaning needs to happen every day in everyone's house, no matter how fancy it is. Organic certification cost $1000 every year. Your membership helps to keep up with all of this. It takes us a 12 hour day to go get supplies from the other side just to live out here. We have to go about once every 10 days but it typically happens once a week. So that's a huge fuel cost to go to the store because we have to drive to Kahului. And then there is the property cost and insurance, we live in a hurricane path. So when you think of the value, please think of these things. I just want to say this because some members have suggested we are making an incredible amount of money. The rentals allow us to stay here. But there are a lot of hidden expenses that people don't think about. Help keep our ratings high so we can keep it up. It's a lot of work. We LOVE it. we live a 1- mile walk from Waianapanapa, the famous black sands beach. It's breathtaking. If you stay with us, go there first in the morning. get there before 9 am and you'll have the beach all to yourself. The tour buses start coming around 10:30. There are also of 5 glorious beaches inside 10 miles and about 1/2 hour from the seven sacred pools.

We chose Kamaole Sands due to it's fantastic location directly across the street from Kamaole Beach Park 3. Kamaole 3 is a beautiful white sand beach which is popular for swimming, snorkeling, and boogie boarding. The unit was finished being completely remodeled from top to bottom in January 2019. Vaulted ceilings throughout, stainless steel appliances, air conditioning, quartz countertops, and a 65" TV are some of the amenities you will enjoy during your stay. The unit is on the fourth floor with an elevator and is steps to the beach. Located in South Kihei, there are shops and restaurants within walking distance. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and ocean views from your private covered lanai. There is a one time resort fee of $60 which is paid upon check in when you are assigned your reserved parking space.
The unit is on the fourth floor with beautiful vaulted ceilings and is directly across the street from Kamaole Beach 3. We love having meals on the covered lanai.
