Plus, we plan to bring in a king's crown motif by way of Basquiat's crown designs over time. So there you have it. Come chill like royalty!

The best feature of the King Park Outback is the neighborhood. The Kennedy-King neighborhood sits at the northeast corner of downtown Indy and hosts a rich cultural history (jazz greats Wes Montgomery and Freddie Hubbard grew up one block away), a plethora of local hotspots, and a laid back, diverse residential vibe. Kennedy-King is a beautiful tight-knit, friendly neighborhood in the heart of Indianapolis. Kennedy-King is in an urban area of Indianapolis, so you may come across or encounter all types of people and walks of life or hear the occasional street noise. We want to make sure you enjoy your stay and know what to expect when you arrive. We love the neighborhood and feel completely safe in it along with the surrounding community, but we encourage you to use common sense by not leaving valuables in plain sight in your vehicle and being cognizant of your surroundings.
Just a half block from your door is West Fork Whiskey, a popular local distillery that serves incredibly creative craft cocktails, and Cannon Ball Brewing Company which not only pours some of their excellent and thoughtful beers, but they also serve high concept bar food crafted in front of you by the chef co-owner. Both places have quickly become hot spots for the neighborhood, and are a great way to feel like a local. Besides that, Provider, the hottest coffee shop in Indy and nationally-recognized, is 1 block away and serves rotating special coffee drinks (including the Coat Check Cola and a Pistachio latte spritzed with rose water), the best biscuit breakfast sandwiches anywhere, as well as lunch and beer and craft cocktails until late evening. If you plan to do some cooking, there's a Kroger just a 5-minute walk or 2-minute away, or we have a Whole Foods and Needler's Fresh Market available via a quick drive downtown.
Not only are these and other spots walkable within 5 minutes, but we are located right on the Monon Trail, our longest local greenway that extends from just south of our home where it meets the tip of the Mass Ave cultural district and the world famous Cultural Trail to the farthest stretches of the northern suburbs. The Monon is popular with joggers, bikers and casual strollers. Brand new in September 2019 is a station for the Pacers Bike Share a half block from our place, which gives you access to cheap bike rental to head downtown to explore the cultural trail or head north to the village of Broad Ripple, or if you’re adventurous, up to the cultural district in Carmel! Or pick up a Bird or Lime scooter and zip over to the Downtown Canal to take in museums and gondola rides.
From October through April is an excellent Saturday Farmer’s Market just a half mile away at the Circle City Industrial Complex, which is the current artists’ hot spot with dozens of galleries (always packed for First Friday art tours), a brewery, a distillery, and craft makers all under the same roof as farm fresh produce and other goods. During the summer months, the farmer's market is every Wednesday from 9:30 to 1:00 at City Market, just two blocks east of the Circle downtown.
