Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

Lake Serenity Patio Apartment is located on Claytor Lake, with a beautiful view of the distant mountains. The location is ideal for activities in the New River Valley and is only a short drive to Virginia Tech and Radford University.
