Usnea, our Nature, Art and Accommodation Space, is situated on the Evelyn Tablelands, Tropical North Qld. Here a fully self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental and historical features.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway which provides all the comforts you need while exploring the Tablelands. The accommodation is designed to ensure a comfortable stay. Cozy living area with kitchenette, private patio & undercover parking. The Shearing Shed has a deck overlooking breathtaking scenery and river. The outdoor firepit & bbq makes it the perfect spot to relax with platypus sighting & occasional Tree Kangaroo visit. Property has direct access to the river for a lazy arvo.

Melrose House

Melrose House is our rustic Queenslander holiday home that gives lake glimpses & breezes. It is well equiped with 2 x kitchens & bathrooms, games room with pool table, air hockey, ping pong table, extensive verandas, fire pit, a cosy upstairs auto fireplace, kayaks, 2x bikes and plenty of parking space. It’s only a short walk to all the lake has to offer: extensive lakeside paths, parklands, playground, fishing, water-sports, boat ramp and dam wall. Discounts for 7+ nights. Pets ok Yard only.

Wallaby Flats, Walkamin

Wallaby Flats is located on the outskirts of Walkamin which boasts one of the best climates in the world. We are in a quiet rural setting where the wallabies graze all around the park like area of the property. The accommodation is built at the end of the farm shed approximately 120 metres from the farm house. You have your own entirely separate area where you are free to come and go as you please and we are only a phone call away. Pets are welcome but must be kept outside the cottage.

Idriess Cottage

A self contained, one bedroom cottage with all amenities on the edge of Herberton on the Atherton Tablelands. The cottage has a verandah with bush views and BBQ. Part of a secure 1 hectare (2 acres) estate, the cottage is 200m from the main historic homestead. There is plenty to do here, including museums, bush walking and pack donkey treks, day trips to some real outback towns and other attractions, all only 1.5 hours' drive from Cairns International Airport. Breakfast supplies included.

Hemingway’s on the Hill is a rustic private indulgence. Set high on the hill, bearing witness to the best of rural life. Cows graze paddocks, and flocks of birds fly overhead. Life is everywhere. FNQ Blooms Tropical Flower Farm Lodge

Our Tropical Flower Farm is a 52-acre property situated at the foothills of Mt Bartle about one hour drive south of the Cairns International Airport. We grow an extensive variety of tropical Heliconia and Ginger for use in the Australian Cut Flower market. Our farm is completely self-sustainable. We have a waterfall that generates our power through Hydroelectricity and gravity-fed water from a natural spring.
