This quirky beach side A frame that has recently been renovated is well appointed. Wonderful outdoor furniture, double BBQ, great fire, dishwasher, washing machine, and only steps from the sea. Perfect for families in the summer or a romantic getaway for a couple in the winter. The view from your bed upstairs is just a gorgeous sea ! In the summer, throw all the kids together in the one room, and parents are upstairs in their own rooms. Sorry, not suitable for under 5 because of the stairs.

Welcome to The Sows Ear @ Rahui 🐷. 45 mins east of Masterton. A renovated cottage in the beautiful established Rahui gardens 🌸 You cant get much more rural than this. No phones, no wifi , just good old fashioned being 'present', hanging out with Mother Nature, listening to the birds, and enjoying the company you are with. Rahui has 3 houses on it, We are in the front house. You may see us walking about, or quad bikes. Rent the ebikes for a sweet as ride to the coast. Two great pubs near by

The house is a haven, down a long private drive in park like grounds opening to stunning views over the vineyards. Next to Urlar winery (a bottle of their Pinot Noir welcomes you!) & just a few minutes to 3 more and the Cliffs picnic spot by the river. Cosy fire for winter, fire pit for summer star gazing, four poster bed, kitchen, BBQ, fast EV charger.

Ti Tree Rural Escape

If you need to relax and have a restorative break away then Ti Tree is the place to come. This is an unknown part of the country that has ancient geology and astounding beauty. A guided trip to the river mouth weather permitting and depending on tides is where you will experience 7000 year old Totara Tree stumps . There are amazing rock formations at the mouth of the Kaiwhata river also. Walking options are available and in evening you can relax under the night sky in the spa pool.

The real kiwi bach - loads of outdoor space!

This bach is located on the main road, (set back) at the entrance of the village. It has a wonderful huge lawn area which would be great for putting up a tent for your extras. A classic bach but with the added bonus of a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer! No WIFI or TV but back to basics, great games. The large open kitchen/lounge has a woodburner for colder evenings. The two queen bedrooms are located off the lounge and a third bedroom has a set of bunks and two singles.
