York, Harrogate, Helmsley and Malton are close by, the North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales and east coast all within easy reach. Newburgh Priory is just up the road and Michelin starred Black Swan at Oldstead a short drive away.

Once the studio of a Victorian photographer and later home to “Dolphin Man” Dr Horace Dobbs, a pioneer in underwater photography. Now featuring a permanent exhibition by Jenny Stock, one of the world’s top underwater photographers.

Coach House Cottage is an old Fishermans cottage above what used to be a stables and coach store (Now a dinosaur and fossil museum). Well situated, above the main street, in the lower part of Robin Hoods Bay it is moments from the beach, the dock, and the hustle and bustle of village life. The cottage is approached along cobbled alleys and/or up a series of stone steps. It is set in its own private back alley.
