A new summerhouse, based on the beautiful lakefront of lake Meðalfellsvatn, Iceland. Only 40 minutes drive from Reykjavik. Sleeps 6 adults, or a family of 6 people. It has all the equipment a house needs. A spacious living room, a kitchen. Two big beedrooms, and a smaller bedroom. Double beds. Two bathrooms, master bathroom with a bathtub, and a bathroom with shower. A “Mancave” on the patio outside. A hottub. We are situated in the middle of the NORTHERN LIGHTS district for the winter months.

Perfect base near the highways to the primary tourist locations such as Thingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir and the South Coast with the waterfalls, glaciers etc. Comfy one mattress bed (160x200cm=63x79in), tiny new bathroom, a kitchenette to make simple meals in the living room as well as a TV with Netflix. It's located in West Iceland with a view over Lake Eiðisvatn, the Hvalfjörður and the spectacular mountains around the fjord. Behind the small village of Melahverfi, which is signposted on the ringroad. Akranes is around 15 minutes away. In autumn and winter, this is also a good place to watch the Northern Lights. Although the view is wonderful, you can't help but see an aluminium plant a few kilometres away.
