Some places we find interesting: The Temple of the Tooth Relic- 2.5km A Must see A Buddhist temple located in the royal palace complex which houses the Relic of the tooth of Buddha. Udawatta Kele- 3.5km Historic forest reserve on a hill-ridge in the city of Kandy. Famous for its extensive range of animal and tropical plant species. Peradeniya Botanical Gardens-5km Another must visit- Largest botanical gardens in Sri and rated one of the best in Asia Embekke- 15km An ancient temple visited by many for its superb wooden architectural structure and carvings. Lanka Thilaka- 15km An ancient temple with murals and impressive Buddhist architecture. Pinnawala- 40km Wild elephant orphanage.Largest herd of elephants in captivity Sigiria- Day trip An ancient rock fortress and palace ruin surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. A good climb. Make sure you visit the museum too. Nuwaraeliya –upcountry Tea Estates Day Trip Home of the famous Ceylon Tea with rolling mountain green tea estates, waterfalls and breathtaking views. We have 6 rooms but listed only 2 here. Please contact if you need more rooms. Our Lodge is located in an echo friendly area. All are equipped with AC, Wi Fi, Hot & Cold water. Have a newly built common area for dinning & cooking . We provide a COMPLEMENTARY breakfast. Kandy city center is 12 minutes (5.5 KM) away. We can arrange day trips to visit tea estate, water falls, ancient ruins, museum etc.. A upon advance request we are able to provide dinner.
