Mill Cottage

My place is close to the high street of Steyning which is a quaint and historical town located on the edge of the south downs national park. It has an array of interesting independant shops catering for all tastes , it is on a direct bus link to Brighton and the south coast as well as walking distance to the countryside. The cottage is good for couples, solo adventurers, business people and furry friends ( pets ) . It is small but perfectly formed but beware of the low ceilings and doorways.

The wooden cabin is spacious, modern and bright and offers complete privacy within the grounds including a sun deck and garden for private use. Hot tub for guest use only throughout stay. Idyllically situated down a quiet, magical lane, our oak-framed barn is surrounded by hills and woodland, with stunning views on all sides. There is instant access to beautiful countryside footpaths and bridleways. We are walking distance from a pub with a garden and good home-cooked food. Just an hour from London by train and 10 minutes drive from buzzy, cosmopolitan Brighton, we're also close to lots of pretty villages, lovely beaches, beautiful historic houses and gardens.

Beautiful barn, perfect for walkers, also great as a comfortable and spacious base for exploring the local countryside. Local cultural attractions include Glyndebourne, Drusilla's Park, South Downs Way. This spacious artist's home is located right on the South Downs Way, and it is only about an hour and a half walk to the coast at Exceat. There is a tree house for kids, a couple of swing seats for chilling out on, and the Cuckmere runs through the bottom of the garden.

The Bowery: dog-friendly, quiet, close to village

Our dog-friendly, Grade-2 listed cottage welcomes families. It has off-street parking with an EV charging point. The large, pretty garden has a BBQ and games. It’s just 400m to Storrington’s shops, pubs and restaurants but you’ll only hear church bells and birdsong. The South Downs Way is up a ½ mile track behind the cottage, and we’re 12 miles to the sea, 18 to Goodwood, 30 to Gatwick and 50 from London.

Half a mile up a track in the Surrey Hills, next to the Serpent Trail and a couple of 100 metres from the South Downs National Park, we feel like we are in the middle of nowhere, yet we can walk to the centre of Haslemere in 30 minutes.
