Great for northern lights in the winter! Peaceful house where you can enjoy the modern comforts in a beautiful country setting with an unbelievable view. The main bedroom has a double bed and the other room has twin beds so it fits 4 guests. The surroundings provides an intimate connection with nature. With only a 10 min drive to Akureyri center, you can enjoy the sights in town and visit the many restaurants and bars or go swimming or whale watching. This is one of two apartments in the house.

Hot tub inside with a large door to the balcony. Garden furniture and BBQ on the balcony. Northern lights and "ski out" during the winter.

Our cottage was built in 2019 and was ready for furnishing in October 2019. The whole house, interior and houseware is generally of high quality. The living room has a cosy sofa and a 65” tv screen. All beds are high quality with down comforters for every guest. There are two bathrooms, where one of the bathrooms also serves as a laundry room, and an indoor hottub with view over Akureyri. the outside storage room you have space for your outdoor equipment. The Viking Country Club. The twin room Amerika.

The room America is with a two twin beds, working table and reading lamps. The bed sheets are white and soft. The down pillows are good but if you need extra pillows we provide them down, polyester or Wellpur. The bathrooms are two, sheared for 6 rooms. One downstairs few steps away and the second one upstairs. The hot tub outside the kitchen is always open and 40 degrees Celsius. If you need something ask for it is our motto. We provide bath towels and robes for the hot tub.

Hallfríðarstaðakot cottage. Near Akureyri

This is an old farmhouse that was renovated in 2020. Very clean and spacious. Warm and cozy house with wood floors. The house and the area is very very quiet. People will sleep extremely well here. Water is from own well up the mountain and is very good. Hot water is heated with big electric water heater tank so this is clean non smelly, non sulphuric warm water for showers. Area is quiet and very private. We do not have farm animals only a couple of curious cats.
