Dibru Saikhowa National Park is one of those places which boast of a rich collection of flora and fauna, many of them endangered. It is one of the few remaining protected sites in the Endemic Bird Area of the Assamese Plains. Dibru Saikhowa National Park is a river island national park and one of the 19 biodiversity hotspots in the world. This National Park is situated 12 km north of Tinsukia in Assam. Of the seven parts of the park, one is a wetland and the rest is mainly covered with grasslands and dense forest. Animal life to be viewed in their natural habitat includes royal Bengal tiger, hoolock gibbons and leopards, it is also home to some restricted-range species, such as the White-winged Wood Duck, Bengal Florican, Lesser Adjutant Stork, spotted-billed Pelican, White-bellied Heron, Pallas's Fish Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Jerdon's Babbler, Black-breasted Parrotbill and Striated Grassbird. Marsh Babbler, Swamp Prinia and Yellow Weaver. There are no roads and hence no jungle safari or elephant rides for roaming in the park, so you can explore the park only by trekking, although boat service is available which can take you to various spots. Guijan Ghat and Saikhowa Ghat are the national park's entry points.

A studio apartment on the first floor of our villa across Ganga near AIIMS, Rishikesh. Ideal for four but can accommodate up to six persons on two extra camp cots. The access to our village is regulated by the forest dept. An optional tent, inflatable pool, a hammock, a swing and a monocular for viewing the jungle life/ birding are available to enhance your experience. A crib and high chair for infants is available. Wifi and washing machine are available. Indoor and outdoor pools available.

Samiras Birds Butterflies Park Ganga Beach Retreat

A place where river, mountain and jungle meet. Where you can hear bird song and unwind, meditate or walk the pilgrim trail along the holy Ganges. The ideal season is from october to march. One has to walk down into the property from the parking gate on road. This is a pathway without much guard rail support and it takes 8 to 12 minutes to walk down and about twice that to walk up depending upon ones age and fitness.The path is not currently wheelchair friendly even though this is planned.
