Take a scenic boat trip to Waterhead, Ambleside, Lakeside or hire a rowing boat or electric motorboat. An open top bus trip offers another great way to explore the area.

Stay at the Lake View Lodge and enjoy lovely views of Lake Windermere and its mountain backdrop. Mountains tower above the hut, watching over our guests these Birkhouse Moor and Sheffield Pike with views of the Angle Tarn Pikes & High Street. ,Situated on the side of the Glenridding Beck, which is perfect for morning dip. The beck can be heard both outside and in, & relaxing and therapeutic for mind, body and soul.

Relax at this peaceful place to stay in the Western Lake District. There are plenty of lovely walks from the doorstep. The King George pub is only a minute walk away, serving lovely home cooked food and real ale. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known locally as “La’al Ratty” is only a ten minute walk from the cottage. Eskdale Stores is open daily. The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.
