It is a peaceful oasis, tucked away from it all at Foss, in the Tummel Valley, but it is easily accessible from the A9 near Pitlochry.

The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). The cottage is set among the majestic pine woods of Drumguish, with mountain views and with lots of wildlife. It is close to the town of Kingussie with its shops and golf course, and in easy reach of Aviemore and the ski slopes on Cairngorm mountain. The area is a walkers' paradise with lowland and upland trails starting direct from the cottage.
