You will enjoy the rural charm of a small town off the main road that will take you straight into Waco if you go West 40 minutes or Corsicana if you go East 30 minutes. Unique and tranquil getaway. We have all the amenities you will need for a great stay. A stylish little cabin in the country with access to walking trails, a pool, and a hot tub($) at the main house. We have farm animals and we run an animal rescue that can have up to 32 dogs. They stay in a fenced-in yard where the pool is located and love to swim with guests! We have added Starlink internet to the cabin as well as a smart TV to greatly enhance your entertainment options during your stay.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway! Enjoy swimming off the back deck, the ambiance of sitting on the many decks enjoying the beauty of the lake or just relaxing to watch the sunset. "The Stockard Stay Awhile" is located in the peaceful countryside 6 miles west of Athens, Texas off of Hwy 175. Recently remodeled, this charming apartment can sleep 4 comfortably. You will be close to Canton (First Monday) 25 miles, Tyler-45 miles, Cedar Creek Lake -10 miles, or Dallas -60 miles. We are located in a quiet rural area with cows, horses, and birds for neighbors. Come stay awhile and listen to the sounds of the country and soak in the beautiful pastoral scenes.-
