The Tower, Thornton Castle

Accessed by a spiral staircase your space comprises 2 bedrooms for 4 people over two floors in a private wing of the castle with bathroom and small sitting room. Full breakfast included. Set in the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, this is an ideal stop off between Inverness and Edinburgh. Balmoral Castle, Dunnottar Castle, Glamis Castle and St Andrews are nearby. Tennis court available.

Great base for exploring Cairngorms, Grampians, east coast beaches & harbours, golf courses, scenic & wildlife photography, astronomy, walking, cycling, or relaxing in your own space. Open-plan Living Room/Dinette/Kitchenette, ONE Bedroom, Shower/Toilet. Pets very welcome. Sorry but not suitable for young children.

A bothy bedroom in the heart of the Cairngorms

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!

The “Wee Bothy” offers a great base to explore the North East Coast, our scenic Angus Glens, and nearby Towns and Cities with places of interest all around. The Seaside/Harbour town of Arbroath is a 5 min drive away, with lots of lovely Cafes, Restaurants, Cinema and Theatre. Golfing, Fishing , Kayaking round the Cliffs and Walking, are plentiful in and around the area with Carnoustie Golf Links a 15 minute drive. Bus and Train Station in town for those who want to venture further.

The north wing of a beautiful ‘A Listed’ Lairds House located within an exceptionally charming small Scottish country estate . Ardovie is a beautifully private and peaceful location which allows the perfect escape from it all yet is also well located for access to the coast and glens. The estate is quite the hidden gem and has a wonderful selection of woodland walks . The boating pond and walled garden are definitely worth seeing to enjoy the true tranquillity of the property.

Ideal for hill walking, cycling, fishing, or anyone wishing to have a quiet break and explore this special location with its many historical attractions. A place to get away, relax and enjoy the natural surroundings! Nochty Studio is a eco cabin located on the edge of the small village of Bellabeg in the Cairngorm National Park, in close proximity to Ballater, Braemar, Royal Deeside and on the edge of Moray. The Studio is on the east side of Glen Nochty enjoying open views of the Nochty River and the Doune of Invernochty. The village itself is a 5 minute walk away, with a local shop.
