Recently converted, the Owlery is the perfect self-catered rural escape for couples. With its double height vaulted ceiling and full height double aspect windows the open plan kitchen living diner offers a light and airy space to unwind and enjoy the view of surrounding fields. The bedroom has a Kingsize bed, Egyptian cotton sheets and En-Suite shower room. The Bathroom offers complimentary Bramley products and cotton bathrobes. Both areas are underfloor heated. Grooms Cottage is on a private estate right next to the ruins of Sheriff Hutton Castle. The property is in a peaceful setting but only two minutes walk away from the village pub and post office/general store. Our cottage was completely renovated in 2021 and is in a great location for walkers, cyclists, and explorers. It’s about 10 miles from both York and Malton, Castle Howard is under 6 miles away, and the coast can be reached in under an hour. Grooms Cottage sleeps 4 guests+2 babies +dogs

Your shepherd's hut is set in the enclosed, inner courtyard of the C14th castle ruins, your own private space. Atmospheric and perfect for relaxing, enjoying a quiet drink in the evening in front of the fire pit & gazing at a starry sky or the impressive ruins. Ideal for a quiet getaway for couples who want the peace of this beautiful village but to have historic York only 4 miles away. The Studio is on the Route 66 cycle path, and you are minutes away from woodland and country walks of outstanding beauty. The village is well served with a bakery, bistro, village store, pub, beauty and hair salon and pharmacy.
