The cottage, opposite the Cathedral, adjoins one of Brecon's finest Georgian buildings, Grade II listed Priory Hill House, with which it shares a lovely half-acre garden on the banks of the River Honddu, with spectacular views of Pen y Fan. At night sit around your fire pit where you can cook supper, toast marshmallows, listen to the owls and as the light fades, have your breath taken away by the star filled skies.

Our stylish & cosy hideaway is the ultimate escape where you can re-wild yourself in acres of tranquility. Wander straight out the door onto the mountains taking in some breathtaking views. Return home to the sauna, soothe tired limbs & then relax by spinning some vinyl from the record collection, whilst the log burner crackles & the owls enthusiastically serenade as dusk sets in! ( plus we now have an indoor padel ball court for you to exercise your inner Federer!!)

Old Byre Barn: Brecon Beacons Historic Cottage

The Old Byre dates back to the 17th Century & forms part of a charming range of historically listed farm buildings at Llandetty Hall Farm, situated in the heart of the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. The barn conversion was competed in December 2021 & is set in 15 acres of private pasture on the Mon Brec canal. This is the third barn we have sympathetically restored & converted here at Llandetty Hall Farm and provides two large bedrooms over two storeys.
