Riverside Cottage is nestled on the edge of a Whinlatter Forest, overlooking a forest ravine in Thornthwaite. The cottage is close to the Skiddaw mountain range, Go Ape and and Michelin Starred restaurant The Cottage In The Wood. Beautifully renovated, it is light and airy throughout. There are two bedrooms and a family bathroom with shower over bath, a cosy sitting room with a wood burner and super modern kitchen, both with patio doors opening to the large veranda overlooking the tumbling beck.

Camping pod in western lakes

Our cosy pod sleeps 2 adults comfortably but could sleep 3 adults or 2 plus 1 young child. Pet friendly. Inside the pod is a double bed, a single futon mattress, kettle, toaster and oil filled radiator, carpeted floor, black out curtains. no bedding is supplied. The pod is small but cosy. The onsite games room provides extra space. Based on our working farm with panoramic views of local fells and Skiddaw. We have 3 camping pods all sited for guest privacy but could all be hired by friends.

Recently refurbished by the owners, giving it a contemporary feel in terms of décor and facilities. High Speed Internet, SkyQ in the lounge, Smart TV's in both bedrooms, Hypnos Mattresses, Bluetooth Speaker, Jacuzzi Bath. A parking permit for the long stay car parks is provided.
