Generally speaking, you do not need a special licence to provide guided visits of public areas or monuments in the City of Vancouver.
However, you may need official authorizations to provide guided tours of private buildings. Authorizations may also be necessary to provide tours in certain public buildings, arts and culture locations, public parks and recreational areas, or other popular destinations.
Hosts should make sure that to have all authorizations, business licenses, permits, and insurance coverage in place to cover all the activities being provided. We encourage you to check with the City of Vancouver, or the respective institutional authority for more information.
