A classic comforting, warm, and boldly spiced turmeric milk recipe with a hint of sweetness.

Commonly consumed in India during the harsh winters to prevent and treat cold, congestion, clear up phlegm from the airways inside the lungs and to help sleep better.

Turmeric or haldi as we call it in Hindi is an integral part of Indian cooking. It’s one of those core spices without which you can’t cook Indian food. It’s added to pretty much everything in India from lentils to veggies to pickles, rice – you name it!

You can use milk of choice for this recipe. I have tried this recipe with regular and almond milk and it works well with both.

JD does not disappoint with this 30 minute class on Golden Milk. They sell containers of this at our local farmers market for $16... and he showed me how easy (and tasty) it is to make it from home for less than $1. He is a wonderful teacher, full of great knowledge and a fantastic attitude.
